Grand Theft Auto 5 Review: The Best Open-World Action Ever
Grand Theft Auto 5 is the latest chapter of the most famous 3rd person action-adventure game with an open world. Rockstar games created it in 2016 and it still the most exciting game about thieves and killers. For the first time for the series, you can play for three characters to plan complicated robberies and experience different gameplay mechanics. You can download Grand Theft Auto 5 for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
Though Grand Theft Auto 5 game was released long ago, it still looks gorgeous. The PS4 and Xbox One remastered versions present advanced lighting, shading, and higher resolution of textures. Remastered version also includes the 1st person camera mode. All characters and NPCs physical properties are driven by the unique Euphoria Engine, so they move and interact with the environment realistically.
Grand Theft Auto 5 gameplay includes a single-player campaign and a multiplayer mode. During the campaign, you can play for 3 characters – Franklin, Trevor, and Michael. Each of them has a unique storyline and special skills. Franklin can use slow motion to handle vehicles better; Trevor can activate a rage mode to eliminate enemies faster and to become invulnerable for any damage; Michael is a professional shooter, he can use slow motion for accurate aiming.
Grand Theft Auto 5 full game includes 62 campaign missions with 3 different endings and hundreds of various side-quests. To unlock all endings, you have to make different decisions during robberies. The whole story happens in Los Santos that previously used in GTA: San Andreas, but became 3,5 times bigger.
The open world is inhabited with AI-driven citizens. They can go hiking, organize random parties and interact on the streets. For example, If you go after anyone, he or she starts to run, because they think that you’re a maniac. There are so many randomized events like this that you may feel like you play a real street life simulator.
We tested PC and PS4 versions for this Grand Theft Auto 5 review. Both keyboard and gamepad layouts are highly convenient. You can choose several modes of aim-assist if you have problems with accuracy. Navigation is similar to all 3rd person shooters.
